The Friday Fives plays at the AMF
Leeds at 7:00 pm on Fridays from 7th September 2001.
The league officers are:

The
League will be BTBA sanctioned and will bowl under BTBA rules with the
following exceptions:
SCHEDULE:
The league will bowl twice round.
REGISTRATION:
Five persons with a maximum of nine may be registered. Once a team
has registered nine players, seven days notice in writing must be given
to the Secretary to cancel a player's registration.
HANDICAPS:
75% of the difference between the player's average and 220, with a
maximum of 60 for everyone. Players will use last winter's average
(over 21 games) for their first twelve games. If no such average
exists, then their highest league average over 21 games last season will
be used. Players with no eligible average will bowl for their
handicap as normal. After a player has bowled 12 games, handicaps
will be assessed as normal.
POSTPONEMENTS:
One week's notice to cancel must be given in writing to the Secretary
and opposing team captain. Postponed matches may be bowled up to
four weeks before or six weeks after the scheduled date of the
match. All outstanding matches must be played before the League
completion date. All bowling to be paid for on or before the
scheduled date of the match (both teams).
BLIND
SCORES: 160 with no handicap (see League Fees below).
SUBSTITUTES:
Substitutes of either gender may only be made in the case of illness or
injury.
LATE
ARRIVALS: May join up to the end of the second frame of any
game. However, if any individual abuses the privilege, a team
captains' meeting will be called and disciplinary action may be taken
against the player and his team.
LEAGUE
FEES: To be £52.50 per team per week regardless of the number of
players. The League to join the AMF contract bowling scheme
(bowling £7.35, Secretary and Treasurer 10p, Scott Banks Fund 20p,
Prize Fund £2.85). If any team refuses to pay the full £52.50
then no blind score will be permitted and the balance of monies owing
will be deducted from the team's prize money at the end of the season.
FINAL
POSITIONS: To be decided on points. If there is a tie on
points, highest pinfall plus handicap to count except first and second
positions which will be decided on a roll-off as per BTBA rules.
AWARDS:
To qualify for an individual award, a player must have played 50% of the
scheduled games. Players and teams cannot win both scratch and
handicap prizes in any category. Where a team or player qualifies
for both scratch and handicap prizes in any category, they will be
awarded the scratch prize. The prize list will be based on last
season's distribution.
PROTESTS:
Protests regarding any point must be made in writing to the Secretary as
per BTBA Rule No. 23.
SMOKING/DRINKS:
These will only be allowed behind the playing area.
BOWLING
BALLS: Only one ball per player to be kept on the ball return at
any one time.
